Stockholm will be playing host to lots of horses on 28 Nov – 1 Dec. 2019. The Friends Arena will be filled with more than 350 horses of all shapes and sizes, and they’ll be spending the weekend at the arena. This year the emphasis will be even bigger on Icelandic horses!

On Friday, 29 November, is the big event: the Tölt Competition! The following eight riders were invited to compete: Jóhann R. Skúlason (IS), Katie Brumpton Sundin (FI), Gabrielle Severinsen (NO), Eyjólfur Þorsteinsson (SE), Lisa Drath (DE), Bernt Severinsen (NO), Vignir Jónasson (SE) and Anne Baslev (DK).

At 13.15, a warm-up class is scheduled, which is like a preliminary round in T1.

The riders compete for a place in a semi-final group.

Group 1 is places 1, 4,6 and 8.

Group 2 is place 2, 3, 5 and 7.

The best two riders from each group will go on to the final, so there will be four riders in the final.

The final will start at 17.00. 

Between the semi-final and the final is a stallion show and a show with Icelandic horses.

12.15-12.45      Presented by Agria and Sif Breeding. Three stallions; 1) Visir från Tavelsjö; 2) Fengur från Backome; 3) Álffinnur frá Syðri-Gegnishólum.

14.15-14.45      Olil Amble with Álffinnur presenting: “How you breed a good Icelandic horse.”

15.30-15.45      Mökkur – still going strong.

Saturday
12.45-13.00      Mökkur – still going strong.

14.00-14.30      A Horse is a Horse – Presented by Horses of Iceland in cooperation with the Swedish                             Icelandic horse breeding and Swedish Lusitano Society: 

Julio Borba will have a clinic with two horses. Under his command, Olil Amble will ride Álfinnur frá Syðri-Gegnishólum and Kerstin Dahlberg a Lusitano stallion. There will be a surprise at the end when they change horses!
